E2000

Combines the programmable features of the E3000 with a horizontal configuration.

The powerful rotation motor has an infinitely variable speed range providing the high torque to hone components of up to 120 mm diameter and the speed required when using the smallest honing tools.
E3000/E3500/EH3500
The first Delapena honing machine to use a fully programmable control system allows users to input, store, monitor and vary the parameters required for honing components to the most demanding specifications.

Handling and fixturing systems can be fitted as required and interfaced with the software. Suitable for diameters between 3,0 and 25,0 mm. An extended version, the E3500, is available for customers who require a greater stroking length.

To suit your production needs, these machines can be supplied with automatic load/unload and in-process gauging.
Powerhone
The Powerhone uses tried and tested principles in a versatile and robust machine. Hydraulic stroking power and precise control to satisfy your honing needs. The Powerhone has replaced the Autostroker in Delapena's machine range.

Single stone
Efficient honing relies on obtaining the correct balance between actual honing time and abrasive cost per component. Therefore, choosing the correct grade of stone for individual homing applications is of prime importance.

Honing differs from other methods of bore sizing and finishing due to the large number of variable factors involved, which play an important part in obtaining optimum honing conditions.

Delapena single stone honing tools are the popular choice for most horizontal honing applications. Generally the range of the individual tools increases as the diameter increases and a choice of short and long lengths are available to cater for a wide range of diameter/length combinations.
Multiple stone
Delapena provides a range of standard multi stone honing tools to cover a wide range of diameters
Special
Delapena provides a variety of special designs of honing tools in order to fit every case of application with the optimum solution.

We can design and manufacture honing tools for special applications where standard tools are not appropriate.

Examples are: extended reach mandrels for gun barrels, line hones for tandem bore applications, piloted hones.
Honing stones with diamond and CBN
The extreme hardness of Diamond and CBN guarantees a long lifetime for the honing stones - a basic requirement for any high volume production. Due to the extreme hardness of Diamond, a high consistency in geometry can be achieved over a long period. The high machining power of Diamond or CBN Superabrasives helps to eliminate some of the preparatory work allowing you to save time and money!
| Die Honing Fixture |
Designed primarily for the heading Die Trade where large bodied, small
bore components require honing.
The fixture comprises of two fully floating workholders to take cylindrical
components up to 76mm (3") diameter and 125mm (5") long. The
workholders are located into a base unit, which incorporates a spring
counterbalance to counteract the weight of the component.
| Gimbal Fixture |
Designed for smaller and lighter components, which are not suited to the
Universal fixture. The fixture consists of a fully floating platform onto
which component holding sub-fixtures are located by means of dowels.
Designed with a spring counterbalance to counteract the weight of the
component. The fixture is ideal for automatic honing with CCS type mandrels.
| Connecting Rod Fixture |
An adjustable fixture to suit a wide range of connecting rod sizes. The
connecting rod is located in this fixture, which ensures squareness of
face to bore, this position being maintained during the honing cycle.
The fixture can also be supplied ‘tailor-made’ to suit specific
rod sizes which is particularly suited for large volume work.
| Mandrel Rack |
Designed to accommodate sixteen honing units and is an invaluable accessory
enabling the operator to keep assembled honing units readily available.
| Mercer Cleanline Air Gauging
Unit |
The clear, easy to read scale makes this high pressure air gauge unit
popular in all workshops.
The air probe can be fitted direct to the gauge unit, or connected via
a flexible hose extension.
The unit is supplied in two alternative magnifications.
| Diatest Split Ball Gauges.
| A modular mechanical gauging system
consisting of a dial indicator and series of interchangeable probes and
master settings rings to cover the range 0.47-41.3mm (0.0185-1.620").
With dial indicators marked in increments of 0.002mm (0.0001") this
versatile gauging system is ideal for users who need to measure a wide
variety of bore diameters.

| More suited to components with
long or deep holes the bore comparators are available to cover a range
22.0-300mm (.866-11.81") diameter up to 1520mm (60") long.
| Bore Comparator Setting Master |
| When set to the required size
by using slip gauges the setting master provides a reference for the setting
bore comparators from 50-154mm (2-6") diameter
