Design & Process Technician / Engineer


This candidate will be an individual who possess experience in design and knowledge of manufacturing and production process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Representing the engineering department at customer and product feasibility meetings
  • Design of tools, fixtures and machine tool parts
  • Establishing productive working relationships with manufacturing, planning
  • Working as part of design teams
  • Identifying and working with suppliers
  • Creating costing models for the sales team for new business
  • Working with the production team members and introducing efficient methods of product manufacture
  • Investigate operational problems affecting production
  • Improve existing product designs for leaner manufacture

Skills and Specifications:

  • Interpret and produce mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of international drawing standards
  • Work within tight deadlines

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Certified Diploma in Mechanical engineering and/or Apprenticeship in manufacturing engineering
  • Machine tool design
  • Tool, jig and fixture design
  • Manufacturing materials & processes
  • 3D CAD Design (preferably Solid Works)
  • MS Office Competent
  • ISO 9001 Quality System understanding
  • Knowledge of engineering practices
  • Implementation and development of new production processes

Production Machinist


Delapena Honing Equipment Ltd is looking for very motivated, skilled or semi-skilled candidate to join an expanding, progressive company.

You will join a team in a workshop environment, manufacturing a wide range of low volume products.

This is a full time position and a permanent role.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in honing, milling, turning and/or grinding.
  • Experience on XYZ machines would be an advantage.
  • Ability to use initiative to problem-solve.
  • A keen attitude and desire to achieve.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
